Funding Your ProjectThere are several ways to fund your project, briefly discussed below:
Fee for Service The Keystone Development Center provides technical assistance on a fee-for-service basis to both rural and urban businesses. Our experiences team of consultants provides a variety of intensive technical assistance services. KDC’s rates are reasonable. We often offer discounts to nonprofits and start-up groups. Please fill out a request for assistance if you would like more information. Pro Bono In some cases we provide our services free of charge. The client must pass an eligibility test that is based upon need, geographic location, and type of business. We are primarily funded by a United States Department of Agriculture Rural Cooperative Development Grant (RCDG) that allows us to provide some services pro bono, but the business must directly benefit rural populations. The group must also be located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, or New Jersey. Please fill out a request for assistance to initiate the eligibility process. Grants We help clients identify funding sources to receive support from KDC and/or otherwise advance their project. For existing clients, we may assist by contributing content for and review of grant proposals. Please fill out a request for assistance if you would like more information. Keystone Development Center Urban Match Grant The Keystone Development Center Board of Directors has established a fund to assist in the development of Urban Cooperatives in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The Urban Cooperative Match Grant will provide match funding to assist in the development and expansion of urban cooperative startups and established cooperatives who require education & training or intensive technical assistance. |
